Ways to fulfill your athletic fee:

The first thing to know:

One box of candy bars = $25 to athletics and $25 to the candy bar distributor, so $25 is credited toward your athletic fees. There are fifty candy bars in a box

·        Child's first sport:

Ø        Option 1: Pay $70

Ø        Option 2: Pay $20 and sell two boxes of candy bars

Ø        Option 3: Sell three boxes of candy bars (note: this would equal $75 to athletics because a box cannot be broken up and once it is handed out athletics must pay for.  A family that chooses this option would not have to pay any of their own money if all the candy bars are sold.  This would be a total of one hundred and fifty candy bars).

·        Child's second sport:

Ø        Option 1: Pay an additional $20

Ø        Option 2: Sell One more box of candy bars

·        Child's third sport:

Ø        Option 1: Pay an additional $20

Ø        Option 2: Sell One more box of candy bars  (Note that this option is available only if you plan ahead for a spring sport; no candy bars will be available for sale in the spring)

There will be a $180 maximum per family.  This can be reached by selling candy bars and/or paying money

If the year is planned ahead, any combination of boxes of candy bars and/or money could be used to fulfill the athletic fee.

Remember, candy bars will only be available for fall and winter sports seasons so plan ahead.

Example I: Athlete in Football and Basketball:

Fees: $70 for 1st sport and $20 for 2nd sport.  Total owed to Athletic association = $90 which may be paid by any combination of cash or candy sales.  For example, pay $40 in cash and sell 2 boxes of candy

Example II: Two athletes who play only basketball.

Fees: $70 for 1st sport of 1st athlete and $70 for 1st sport of 2nd athlete = $140 which may be paid by any combination of cash or candy sales.  For example, pay $40 in cash and sell 4 boxes of candy.

Example III: Three athletes in the family: one athlete in volleyball, one in football, and one in fall and spring soccer.

Fees: $70 for volleyball + $70 for football + $90 for soccer (fall soccer is the 1st sport for $70 and spring soccer is the 2nd sport for $20) = $230.  The family cap is $180, so $180 is owed to the athletic association, which may be paid by any combination of cash and candy sales.  For example, pay $80 in cash and sell 4 boxes of candy.

Example IV: One athlete who plays fall and spring soccer.

Fees: $70 for 1st sport (fall soccer) and $20 for 2nd sport (spring soccer).  Total owed to Athletic association = $90 which may be paid by any combination of cash or candy sales.  For example, pay $40 in cash and sell 2 boxes of candy
