Home & School Association

The primary purpose of St. Thomas Aquinas Academy’s Home & School Association is to conduct fund raising activities, the proceeds of which help defray tuition costs, and Help the school purchase needed materials or equipment as requested by the principals. The secondary purpose of the Home & School Association is to plan and offer All-School social events throughout the year in order to foster unity and community spirit within the school.

School Families Roles and Responsibilities:

The 2007-2008 school budget depends on $50,000 income from fundraisers during the year.  To reach this goal, each family is asked to sell $400 worth of products from any combination of the programs listed below. In lieu of selling products, a family may take the buy-out option by paying $200 directly. All money raised through these programs directly benefits the school and children.  Past Fundraisers have included:

  • Mr. Z’s Pizza and products.
  • QSP magazine subscriptions.
  • Gold C and Entertainment Books.
  • Suzie’s Cheesecakes.
  • Market Day.
  • Miller Park Concession Stand.
  • ...And many other designated fundraisers.

In addition, each family is asked to make service commitments and contribute some of their valuable time; hence, being involved in several different volunteer efforts (i.e. night, parish festivals, clerical assistance, participating in school committees, Miller Park Concession Stand, etc.).  Every school family gives at least 20 hours of volunteer service to the school, or a family may take the buy-out option by paying $200 directly.
