2019 STAA Fundraiser Dinner & Auction

Mark your calendars for the biggest event of the school year – the STAA Dinner & Auction! Enjoy an adults-only, formal evening out with your fellow STAA families and community as we raise much-needed funds for our great school. It only happens once every other year, so put on your evening best, dust off your big hat, and come on down to the races! Our theme this year is An Evening at the Derby.
During the evening, unwind during cocktail hour with our signature drink and appetizers, take a few fun pictures in the photo booth, enjoy a delicious meal by Saz’s, bid on awesome live auction items, and then dance the night away. Throughout the evening, browse through the gift baskets that are part of our silent auction and generously bid to take home your favorites.
It’s a fun night out with friends! If you don’t know many other parents yet, this is a great opportunity to meet them!

Cocktail Hour with Signature drink
The evening kicks off at 5:30pm with happy hour featuring our signature cocktail along with complimentary beer, wine, and soda.

On the Menu
hand-passed hors d’oeuvres:
Hot Brown Bites — oven roasted brioche toast points topped with oven roasted turkey, Mornay, bacon, Roma tomato, and shaved parmesan
Chicken and Waffles — mini waffle cone with maple gelato topped with fried chicken and candied bacon
Southern Panzanella Salad — tomatoes, cucumbers, red pepper, black-eyed peas, and Focaccia croutons tossed with Champagne-peach vinaigrette atop a bed of Arugula
Artisan dinner roll with whipped butter
Your choice of main entree:
Beef Sirloin — 6oz. pan-seared sirloin with Bourbon Demi, fire-roasted cardamon peaches, Boursin rice grits, and three-bean saute
Chicken Breast — 6oz. seared chicken breast topped with smoked peach compote, white peach Bourbon Blanc, Boursin rice grits, and three-bean saute
Butternut Squash Ravioli — Candied walnuts, fried sage, poached tomatoes, and brown butter
