Admissions

Thank you for considering St. Thomas Aquinas Academy. The cluster parishes and school respect the dignity of the child.  Neither race, nationality, nor other forms of discrimination will prevent a child from being accepted into STAA or our religious education programs. Children of other religions may be accepted on a seat-available basis unless attendance would cause conflict for the child because of the unique religious philosophy of our education programs.

To be eligible for 4-year-old kindergarten, a child must be four by September 1 of the school year.  To be eligible for 5-year-old kindergarten, a child must be five by September 1 of the school year.

STAA is established and subsidized by the members of Immaculate Conception, Nativity of the Lord, Sacred Heart of Jesus, St. Augustine, St. Paul, and St. Veronica parishes — known as the six cluster parishes — to assist parents in fulfilling their responsibility to raise their children in the Catholic faith. While parish membership is not a requirement for admission or tuition rates, STAA encourages families to be an active and participating member of one of the six cluster parishes.

Tuition rates include, but are not limited to, textbooks and consumables.

Tuition Scholarships
• Scholarships will be available to all STAA tuition paying families.
• Scholarships will be awarded based on individual family needs.
• No need to provide detailed income information.
• Complete a simple one-page form.
• Scholarships will be funded through generous donations to Seton Catholic Schools and can also be funded through parish donations that will be allocated for STAA families.

St. Gerard Scholarship: The St. Gerard Fund was established in 1997 with the proceeds from the sale of the St. Gerard property and the closing of the parish. The parishioners of St. Gerard established the fund to provide grade school scholarships for Catholic school students in a defined area surrounding the St. Gerard facility.  Scholarships are awarded based on volunteerism, demonstrated academic achievement or demonstrated effort by the student, and special financial needs of the student's family.  Each year, the St. Gerard Scholarship Fund awards $800 to selected students in grades 3 through 7.  Current 8th graders may apply for a $1,000 scholarship towards a Catholic high school. Applications are accepted during the spring. For more information, please contact the school office at 414-744-1214.
